Kelly has been at the helm of Hawaiian Gardens since opening the nursery in an old coffee shack up mauka in 1978. Above all else, he's an artist with a keen eye for growing and shaping striking specimen trees and shrubs. When searching for just the right kind of greenery, Hawaii's most respected landscape designers and installers often bring their clients to Hawaiian Gardens for inspiration, a walk through the nursery, and a yarn with the man himself.
